Sharon Boerbon Hanson

My days fly by with writing and editing. I’m active in a wonderful writing group with members from across the country. I write in many genres: fantasy, travel memoir, professionalism, and painting.

When not writing or editing, I paint, sew, or cook and bake. I paint primarily with acrylics but dabble with pastels and watercolors. Recently I began scratchboard and find it very relaxing and fun.

Canvas, wood, and watercolor papers comprise my main surfaces. In addition to my painted art, I create jewelry, woodblock prints, wooden and found-item sculpture, and handmade books.

Moving from one art form to another keeps me energized and my imagination vivid. I hope I inspire you to begin or continue or return to whatever art form makes you smile.

I love to travel and find inspiration along every street I walk and every person I eet.

Before I retired, I taught professionalism to juniors and seniors in software development for Metropolitan State University. I posted a blog for around 8 years on how to secure a job, attain career success, and develop a personal brand.
